Take a Break DRIVE BY CAKE DAY
In the midst of Covid-19, the Waiver Staff found a great way to see clients who were staying home by organizing “Take a Break – DRIVE BY CAKE DAY”. They baked a large cake, cut it into generous slices, and put each in a container. They made signs such as “We Miss You” “Stay Safe” “Aloha” “We ❤U” “Wash Your Hands”. Then they called all the Waiver participants who were not coming to the program because of Covid 19 and invited them to drive by, get some cake, and other goodies. They also gave out frisbees, the program schedule for the next month, and a bingo card to play with everyone on Zoom. It was a creative and fun way to see everyone in time of social distancing.
